Summary

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the Art Director, Project Manager, and Game Designer to create unique games
• Develop game concepts, storyboards, and animatics
• Provide creative and technical feedback to the team
• Understand and apply graphics design concepts and how they relate to gaming products
• Track art creation development in Jira, identify problems, and find solutions
• Create, organize, prioritize, and communicate all art tasks to team members
• Maintain graphics pipelines and technical requirements for each game
• Process the breakout and post-production of art assets per game production schedule
• Support game development by updating and modifying artwork to meet technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner
• Work constructively with teams to raise production values and quality
• Create original still graphics in a variety of original or established styles
• Keep up to date on graphic techniques, trends, styles, etc. in the gaming industry

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in the gaming industry required.
• Requires five plus years of experience with drawing, composition, graphic design, computer graphics, color theory and leading a team of creatives.
• Requires an associate degree and/or vocational certification.
• Experience with Jira or other task tracking software a plus.
• Intimate knowledge of Photoshop, AE and Adobe products
• Illustration and composition skills a must
• Ability to adapt to new art styles based on thematic direction
• Ability to work in teams and with other disciplines
• Be able to lead a team of artists toward the goal of finishing a game on time
• Ability to create art to specification
• Must have the ability to tolerate moderate to occasional high levels of stress, and meet deadlines
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently, be team oriented, and work with team members in different time zones
• Excellent organizational abilities and able to prioritize tasks
• Must be detail oriented and adhere to naming conventions and asset delivery protocol
• Able to accept and implement constructive feedback
