We Want You
A new world and a new journey await you. It is a world different from any other Blizzard has created.
If you’re a passionate game developer, and, well, a good human being, then we’d love to talk to you. We have a new AAA survival game in the works, set in a new IP for PC/Console. It’s going to be amazing, and we’d love to bring you along for the ride. Together, we’ll build something big, bold, and beautiful.
Your Mission
As the Lead Artist for “Points of Interests”, you will be responsible for a critical part of the game. What is a game world without Points of Interests? You’re right, it’d be kind of boring! You will own and champion all these amazing locations that the players will experience in our world. You will also be responsible for building and growing the team that will execute on crafting all of it. If you are an amazing collaborator, a great leader, and a proactive problem solver who loves to sort out challenges and growing teams, this is the role for you.
We believe our team is good. Really good. Granted, we’re obviously biased. But we also believe there are lots of developers out there who can make us even better. You could be one of those people. If you’re looking for a team where inclusion, thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration are all seen as critically important, we believe our team could be a phenomenal fit for you. Join us and help craft our future!
You can learn a bit more about this upcoming Unannounced Survival Game in our news release here!
You’re good at:
- Crafting 3D assets, big and small, that will seamlessly fit into our game’s amazing world!
- Seeing both the big picture and the small details. You have a deep interest and a solid understanding of architecture, both in terms of buildings and landscapes.
- Working with next gen PBR materials to create beautiful assets.
- Understanding and crafting versatile modular components as well as fully unique assets.
- Adapting to a distinct art direction and visual language, consistently and reliably.
- Defining and communicating what “good” looks like. You have a great eye for light, shading, color, and details, ranging from closeups to looking at your assets from a far distance.
- Dealing with ambiguity and solving problems, and you happily adjust to the various needs of different game development phases.
- Collaborating with other stakeholders, whether they’re artists, designers, or tech artists, to collaborate on creative solutions for complex pipeline problems.
Extra awesome points for:
- 1 0+ years of experience working on AAA games for major platforms, with 2+ years of experience in management.
- Being experienced in building large game art teams.
- Relevant, recent experience with game art technology, pipelines, and processes.
- Being a kind, empathetic, thoughtful human being.
You’ll need to provide us with:
- Your Resume
- Your Portfolio or Reel – Only digital applications will be accepted such as a website, blog, or online album. Physical media will not be accepted.
- An art test might be required
