Be a force multiplier with your legendary creativity and cunning eye for detail. Do you geek out on camera work, cinematic animation, layout, team building, feedback, and all other things connected to successful in-game cinematics? This job is about collaborating with our internal cinematics team, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and getting our beautiful work in a "game ready" state. We're looking for an extraordinarily talented person to come spend some quality time in Sanctuary and descend into the deep dark dungeons of Diablo with us! Your experience in handling in-game cinematic production will help make us all better at making a lot of gorgeous content.
Your responsibilities will range from pushing cinematic quality in game and managing a talented team of artists creating work for the Diablo world. You’ll also be providing timely, precise, and constructive feedback to our team members based on franchise knowledge and a high quality bar.
Work alongside Leads and Art Directors to collaborate and share a vision of creating the next iteration of a game industry defining in-game cinematics.
Stuff You Are Familiar With
You may wonder what it will take to be successful in this role. Manage communication, provided feedback to artists, and helped maintain a strong creative relationship between directors and the animation teams.
- Helps oversee all Cinematic content on the project, mentor and develop direct reports
- Worked closely with art and animation leads and production team to determine cinematic needs
- Understand narrative elements and asses how they could affect the development of the story. Present high level collaborative solutions for adjustments as conflicts arise on the project.
- Participate and/or Direct Performance Capture shoots.
- Participate and/or Direct Voice Over sessions.
- Shipped AAA PC or console title(s) as a cinematics artist
- Demonstrated knowledge of all the various tools used to craft assets for a modern PBR game engine pipelines in relevant cinematics reel or portfolio

- Willingness to complete a test if requested to do so.
