That’s No Moon is an independent AAA game development studio established in 2021 by veterans of some of the most recognizable and critically acclaimed creative teams in the world, including Naughty Dog, Infinity Ward, Santa Monica Studio, Bungie, PlayStation, and more. A remote-friendly studio with a central office and performance capture stage located in Los Angeles, That’s No Moon is creating the next generation of narrative-driven, genre-defining experiences built upon a culture of creativity, collaboration, responsible production practices, and individual empowerment. We are assembling a diverse team of passionate developers of a wide range of experience levels and backgrounds to help shape the future of our studio and projects.
We are seeking a Lead Producer, Art to project manage and ensure successful delivery of all art for a AAA action-adventure game. Your strengths are a mix of hard project management and soft people skills that you use to get large art teams to adhere to a vision, within schedule constraints while retaining our company values.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the cross-department schedule and related task tracking database for the art team across Concept, Character, Environment, Lighting and VFX departments.
- Ensures all art dept schedules synchronize into one cohesive department plan then supervise the execution of the plan.
- Solicit needs from all game departments and align them to set art requirements. Take those requirements and turn them into project plans.
- Work collaboratively with production and development department leadership to drive decision making that achieves both the project goals and company values.
- Connect departments and eliminate roadblocks to ensure the team is flowing efficiently through their work.
- Monitor the team and project health and communicate risks plus suggested corrective measures. Follow through on risk mitigation plans.
- Suggest improvements to the production process.
- Assemble productivity data from the production tracking system and use that data create production reports that steer the production forward.
- Supervise and mentor all art producers on best practices to achieve project goals efficiently and collaboratively.
- Drive team towards inclusive practices.
- Manage staffing plan and internal budget for art departments.
Requirements & Skills:
- Project Management or Business Administration skills or experience.
- Experience with Jira, Shotgun/ShotGrid, Perforce or other industry standard tasking and version control software.
- Flexible and agile, able to adapt to emerging requirements.
- Understanding of modern art creation pipelines.
- Adaptive managerial skills, knowing when to use formal or informal tactics and strategy to achieve project success.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of experience as an Art Dept Producer or Project Manager delivering projects working across multiple departments or equivalent experience.
- Strong time managerial skills in a technically sophisticated and fast-paced work environment.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with high emotional intelligence.
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and staffing plans to schedule and quality requirements.
TNM considers a number of factors when determining each role's base pay range, including industry benchmarks, location, experience, and other job specific skills. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for other incentive compensation including equity and profit share. The estimated base pay range for this role is U.S. only and not applicable for locations outside of the U.S.
TNM offers competitive and comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, unlimited PTO, supplemental life and disability, and more. Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time or temporary employees.
The estimated base pay range for this role is: $159,000 to $213,000.
