Lead Analyst - American Football

You will..
- Report to the Director of Analytics for the Tiburon Studio
- Receive questions from the business, understand the questions, determine the data needed to answer them and work with engineering teams to enable proper telemetry implementation.
- Achieve consensus amongst business, engineering, and analytics teams to identify data requirements to support high-quality analysis.
- Translate our needs into productionalized data models to provide clean, accurate, performative data structures for use in dashboards and analysis, helping the analytics team access consolidated insights in an easy-to-access, repeatable way.
- Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (e.g. version control, testing, continuous integration) and assist the team in holding to these best practices.
- Maintain data documentation and definitions to socialize querying best practices across the analytics team.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years experience in technical data roles, demonstrating expertise in transforming, shaping, querying and using data to guide decisions.
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, OR equivalent experience
- Excellent SQL skills, including building ETLs, writing optimized and performant queries against large data sets, and querying complex data; experience on a platform such as Snowflake or BigQuery
- Experience in data modeling and structuring data to optimize retrieval performance
- Experience in a consumer products-oriented industry; gaming, entertainment, or e-commerce
- Experience in data modeling, analytics engineering, writing ETLs
- Experience with data visualization; Tableau or Looker
- Experience with a scripting language (e.g. Python)
- Knowledge/interest with EA Sports’ franchises (e.g. FIFA, Madden)

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $130,250 - $199,400
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $120,450 - $199,400
• Jersey City, NJ:
º $147,400 - $199,400
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $120,450 - $161,750
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $120,450 - $188,600
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
