Lead Analyst (Aarki)

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a tenured marketing strategy analyst to oversee and scale Skillz user acquisition campaigns on the in-house Aarki DSP. You have an in-depth understanding of programmatic advertising, and you are eager to dig into data, develop hypotheses, design tests, and effectively present the results of these tests to stakeholders across the organization. You work well at the intersection of strategy and execution, and apply an inquisitive and analytical approach to problem solving.
What You Will Do:
- Oversee a portfolio of Skillz user acquisition campaigns on Aarki
- Develop and own the strategy to optimize campaign performance across the portfolio
- Apply expertise in data mining and quantitative analysis to extract actionable insights from a variety of data sources
- Design and run A/B tests to validate strategies for campaign optimization
- Communicate team strategies, progress, and issues to cross-functional stakeholders within Aarki and the larger Skillz team
- Work closely with the Machine Learning team to identify gaps in predictive models and give directionality to model development
- Work closely with the Ad Operations team to drive optimization requests, new campaign setup, and existing campaign changes
- Lead a small global team of data analysts
Your Skillz:
- 4+ years of hands-on analytics experience in a performance marketing role
- Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative field
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills in order to tackle complex data challenges
- Experience – and a desire – to do both strategic planning and day-to-day execution/optimization
- Ability to present and defend complex analysis internally and externally to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with classical ML approaches and techniques is a plus
