L1 Technical Support Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a teammate in our IT Department as Jr. IT Support Specialist role, who will help to support and maintain the computer systems of the organisation, ensuring that they run smoothly.

Key Activities and responsibilities

• installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades
• setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in
• solving password problems
• talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter
• responding to breakdowns
• investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults
• repairing equipment and replacing parts
• checking computer equipment for electrical safety
• maintaining records of software licences
• managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.

About You

Experience and Qualifications:

• At least 1-year experience in IT support
• Communication skills (English language)
• Knowledge of the Network topology & network connectivity (LAN/WAN), switching & routing and Server operations
• Strong Customer orientation skills
• Technical and analytical skills
• Organisational skills
