Junior Technical Artist

Job Description

We are hiring! Socialpoint is looking for a Junior Technical Artist to join our centralised Art team. In an effort to strengthen our current and future game developments, we are looking for a TA, with a good knowledge of Adobe authoring tools such as Photoshop and Animate in combination with the Adobe API (Adobe I/O, CEP, jsx, jsfl).

Your mission is to be the link between the artists and programmers, ensuring the art content and features are integrated into the game effectively.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing the assets of the games through the proprietary CMS.
• Scripting new graphic pipelines depending on the needs of the game.
• Correct and improve all the graphic aspects concerning the creation of assets, such as atlas and meshes optimizations.
• Implementing tools and solutions that our projects need.
• Communicate with different project teams, artists and programmers offering technical support in day-by-day production issues.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• High level of English, both written and spoken (English is our official language!)
• 2 years of experience in the gaming industry.
• Artistic/technical background.
• Good knowledge of Adobe authoring tools such as Photoshop and Animate.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Scripting with Javascript (jsx, jsfl) or Python.
• Deep understanding of game assets pipelines.
• Optimisation techniques for mobile.

And it would be a plus if you had;

• knowledge of Spine 2D.
• C++ or C# scripting.
• Expertise in Cocos2D engine.
