Overview
Arkadium is seeking an exceptional and experienced software engineer to help build the best game engine to support the development of our award-winning games.
Requirements
- Support our growing library of 100+ games on web, mobile, and PC with brand new features and content
- Work with a cross-functional team to analyze, develop, and deliver game updates to keep the games engaging and fresh for our fans
- Dive into existing codebases to optimize performance, refactor code, integrate third-party libraries, and address user feedback
- Grow expertise on web technology standards and trends, and actively employ best practices to the codebase
- Architect and write scalable/modular code that will be easily maintained for years
Our ideal candidate has:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or 1+ year experience programming web games
- Experience working with these modern web technologies
- JavaScript or TypeScript
- HTML5, Canvas, and WebGL
- Webpack
- Node and NPM
- Experience in C#, React, React Native, Unity, and Adobe Animate are major pluses
- Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals, game architecture, and math
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as role is expected to communicate with external developers
- A passion for casual games and an analytical mind to understand what makes them successful
- A great attitude and willingness to learn and tackle challenges
- Proficiency in English
