Job Overview:
As a Junior QA Analyst you will be embedded within a game development team where you will be testing content and giving qualitative feedback on game mechanics, design and balancing to push out the best possible content.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Create and execute customised test cases
Investigate and submit bug reports sent by our players
Communicate with players through our forums and social media channels
Report defects you identify to a good standard using Jira
Test content to ensure it is bug-free and stable for weekly releases
Analyse content and give objective feedback in verbal and written form
Work in a SCRUM team made up of talented multi-disciplined individuals
Work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team to deliver high-quality releases
Carrying out tasks or assignments directed by the QA Manager
Requirements
Can play video games on PC, console or mobile
Good understanding of what makes up a video game e.g. UI, loading, inventory systems, the difference between FPS and RTS
Can scrutinise gameplay mechanics and identity defects
Can follow templates and stick to established process
Good verbal and written communication skills
Can attend team meetings and give a good account of work completed
Basic understanding of how clients and servers work together
Familiarity with PC operating systems and hardware
Familiarity with iOS and Android operating systems and hardware
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and QA skills
