Junior Mobile Test Automation Engineer

Job Description

The ideal candidate:

As a Junior Mobile Test Automation Engineer, you’ll be placed in a position to learn about designing, maintaining and reporting on build processes. Your role will include testing for a variety of games developed within the studio and so you should be capable of spinning more than one mental plate at once.

Your role will grow to include regular communication with our engineering and Quality Control teams, along with other stakeholders within the studio. With that in mind, we are searching for an ambitious and enthusiastic engineer, one who will be motivated to demonstrate initiative; researching and contributing to defining objectives within their field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Capable of accepting tasks from their manager and asking questions to define requirements
• Report on work done and accept constructive feedback related to it
• Participate on code reviews
• Curiosity about testing processes; driven to learn how to design processes
• Appreciation of continuous delivery and understand how testing fits within that process.

SKILLS:

• Scripting skills, with bash and python of particular interest
• Familiarity with C#
• Hands-on experience debugging

BONUS SKILLS:

• Familiarity with source control, preferable Perforce
• Practical knowledge of a build system, ideally Jenkins
• Mobile application development for Android and/or iOS
• Understanding features development within Unity3D

EXPERIENCE:

• A degree in computer science, related field or equivalent industry experience

BONUS EXPERIENCE:

• Integration of SDKs, such as advertising and analytics, into mobile applications
• Understanding of graphical bottlenecks and performance indicators on mobile
