Junior/Mid VFX Artist - 2025 Opportunities (Canada and Mexico)

About the Role:

In 2025, we’re excited to expand our creative studios worldwide! We’re looking to bring on board talented game VFX artists to join our teams and bring their unique touch to renowned game titles.

Key responsibilities:

• Work on converting existing client assets to Unreal Engine across multiple content types (Chibi/Style 2/Style 3, Little Legends, Arenas, etc.)
• Collaborate with the technical team to ensure efficient asset conversion while maintaining visual quality
• Provide artistic oversight for automated conversion processes, ensuring final quality meets standards
• Execute manual refinements and polish where automated tooling needs enhancement
• Work with QA to verify visual accuracy of converted assets

Project Scope:

• Working with approximately 1400 individual assets

• Content types include arena intros, finishers, boom tiers, and various cosmetic elements

• Focus on maintaining visual fidelity while ensuring technical compatibility

Requirements

• Strong background in VFX and Unreal Engine
• Experience with VFX porting/conversion between engines
• Ability to maintain consistent art style across converted assets
• Understanding of technical requirements for asset conversion
• Strong eye for detail and quality assurance

Additional Requirements:

• Location: Ability to work in Asia or US timezones (Singapore/LAX)
• Time Zone: Available during overlap hours between LAX and Singapore (approximately 2 hours)
• Duration: ~1 Year contract starting Q2 2025
• Team Structure: May work with 1-2 Senior VFX Artists who will oversee the conversion work
• Be a resident of Canada (Manitoba and Ontario) or Mexico.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience with automated asset conversion tooling

• Strong technical understanding of VFX pipelines

• Ability to identify and resolve visual discrepancies in converted assets

• Experience working with large-scale asset libraries

• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration

• Understanding of optimization and technical constraints
