Junior IT Technician

As the Junior IT Technician, you’ll be working with the IT team to manage and improve the information technology framework that supports our staff. Initially you’ll focus on helpdesk related activities, but we encourage and support development of more advanced skills beyond this.

Duties and Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for all end-user hardware and software including, but not limited to, creating and maintaining OS images for workstations, software installation and support, networking support, workstation repairs, maintenance, upgrades, and testing.
• Answer and follow-up on technical support calls, emails, and requests from staff and clients.
• Maintain and update inventory tracking systems for all hardware and software assets.
• Other miscellaneous technical and administrative tasks related to the management of the IT department.

Requirements

• Proficiency with English.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Self-sufficient and self-motivated.
• Ability to work on-call when required.
• Experience with basic desktop support (Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac OSX)
• Familiarity with PC Desktop hardware.

Beneficial Skills

• Experience with standard game industry software including Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, Unreal engine, Photoshop, etc.
• Experience with Linux, specifically enterprise distributions.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, Python, etc.)
• IT certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, Amazon, Red hat, etc.)
