Junior Game Designer

A bit about the role:
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Junior Game Designer to join our amazing Gods Unchained team!
Gods Unchained is a complex, multilayered strategic game that allows users the ability to build strategic decks and play those against other players in a variety of game modes. We need a versatile designer to build future expansions of the game and inspire users with innovative cards and game modes. The junior game designer will also be responsible for how cards interact with each other and the meta balancing of the game.
This position represents a chance to shape the long-term growth of the game!
You will have the opportunity to:
- Work with the lead designer to create beautiful, engaging content, strong mechanics, and gameplay that ties into the greater company ecosystem and reinforce the objectives of the game and company
- Create cards for the next large expansion of the game, and work with the flowgraphers to get these into the game and test them
- Become comfortable using game usage data, consumer feedback, and user testing to inform and drive game design
You’ll have:
- Gaming experience. A large part of what they’re bringing to the team is a passion for gaming and energy
- A natural curiosity
- Experience as a game designer on a completed game, not a Game Jam
- A mind for numbers and be comfortable in breaking down complex data analytics to support intuitive design thoughts
- Unity experience, or experience with another development engine such as Unreal
Some extra skills that would be awesome:
- A rudimentary understanding of blockchain technology and what the advantages and benefits are
- Demonstrated experience as a competitive player or designer on a major TCG (Magic, Hearthstone, Pokemon, Yugioh, Legends of Runeterra, Eternal Card Game among others)
- Have streamed playing a major TCG on twitch or other platforms
- Ability to script in any scripting language
