Junior Digital Artist

Crytek is looking for a passionate Junior Digital Artist to join the Creative Services department. Creative Services produce trailers and marketing images for all of Crytek’s projects such as Hunt Showdown, The Climb 2 and CryEngine.

The role requires a diverse set of skills, from setting up cinematic shots in CryEngine, capturing gameplay and then editing to final completion.

The ideal candidate will have a creative eye and an experience of working with image, video, motion graphics. They will be expected to have good gameplay skills for assisting in the capture for screenshots, trailers and reviews. They will be involved in creating cinematic shots and 2D assets directly from the game engine and will be required to help film interviews for developer diaries and other promotional material.

Responsibilities

• Working with CryEngine to assist in the production of cinematic sequences and marketing assets.
• Playing video games for capture.
• Edit and create sequences.
• Create motion graphics.
• Prepare still images and assets.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio demonstrating a sense for composition in 3D renders and gameplay capture.
• The ability to follow the artistic direction of the team during the different stages of production.
• A familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
• Knowledge of game engines.
• A team player, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
• Ability to self-manage and take ownership of tasks.
• Solid English communication and writing skills.
• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main area, Germany.

Pluses

• Experience with CryEngine.
• The ability to film interviews in a three light interview setup.
• Experience/Education in video- or photography
• Experience/Education in 3D Animation
