Job Description
YOUR DAILY ADVENTURE
Working as an integral part of the development team you will be an expert in the tools and technologies needed to ensure deliverables of the highest quality. With your assigned feature team, you will be the go-to person on the team for all testing expertise.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Participate within the Cell/Scrum Team;
- Provide updates during Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives;
- Monitor and track issues via the Jira Dashboards;
- Take action on issues that needs attention;
- Ensure that the Features in development are still in working state through Maintenance Testing;
- Utilize the Remote Debug tool for debugging crashes and freezes that occur on packages to give more info to the engine team and even get them fixed as they happen;
- Directly work with the people responsible for the feature in assisting bug investigation (reporting, reproduction, isolation);
- Verify and approve issues related to their cells, which are entered by the Functionality Test Team;
- Support the associated cell, and help with urgent test tasks and request;
- Create issues raised during the assigned team’s meeting review;
- Ensure that any communication within the cell is shared to other cells;
- When requested, verify Changelists, and promote the ideal of early Changelist tests before check-ins.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Able to write clear and concise bug, test reports;
- Able to execute Dev Test requests and provide test results;
- Able to write Test Cases with minimal feedback (will need direction on how to create Test Cases);
- Able to follow & execute tasks in a timely manner;
- Be able to provide support to other Testers;
- Be able to share knowledge on how the current assigned cell works to other Testers;
- Be able to follow up with blockers / critical issues and raise concerns if no action is done;
- Can effectively collaborate with his peers;
- Highlight issues and concerns with regards to his tasks;
- Has a positive and can do attitude;
- Active participation in assigned scrum team;
- Able to effectively communicate issues, test results and any important topics to his peer, Devs within his assigned cell/ QA group;
- Able to establish good relationship with peers and Devs within cell;
- Able to adapt to new tasks, request or situation;
- Reacts positively to criticism, learns from mistakes;
- Shows eagerness to learn and glimpses of proactiveness;
- Able to ask questions and share opinions;
- Knows and understands how to use QA reporting tools (Jira, Test Rail, Confluence, etc...);
- Knows and can utilize the basics of using Dev Testing tools (Anvil, Teabox/Swarm Buddy, Consoles etc.).
