Junior Development QC Specialist

Job Description
We are now looking for a Junior Development QC Specialist to join our international multidisciplinary team, working on our (still-unannounced) console AAA game. In this position you will work alongside our development team, supporting them to keep tap on the quality of the game by assisting and validating different features and functionalities in different milestones before and after release of the game. This is a 12 month temporary employment between the time frame of February 2023 – February 2024.
As a Junior Development QC Specialist, you will:
- Test game builds/features in different development cycle; find, isolate, and enter a clear and concise bug into our tracking database (Jira)
- Monitor previously entered bugs to verify resolution, and regress issues and run sanity checks around the implemented fix
- Follow and maintain existing test plans
- Participate in meetings with development and production leads; align to development work, follow up with your priorities
- Quickly and accurately handle test requests from all disciplines involving Design, GPP, UI, UITA, Audio, tech, data analytics and others involved disciplines in game development
- Monitor build status daily and flag blocking issues
- Keep up with bugs entered by external QA departments and flag high severity issues to concern parties
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate has:
- Interest in game development with embedded testing
- Experience using Jira or other similar project management tools
- Experience using Perforce or similar version control tools
- Good MS office tools skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, result-oriented mindset, and a passion to learn
- Great collaboration skills, ability to communicate ideas to the team
BONUS: Good knowledge of game engines and gaming platforms
