PLAYSTUDIOS is enthusiastically seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the myKONAMI Slots team in Austin.
Does the idea of analyzing millions of records, forming insights, and guiding strategic direction for an entire app interest you? Are you a data ninja that can flawlessly write queries, aggregate data to any granularity, and go any length for a game-changing analysis?

You will be a guiding voice among product managers, data engineers, and live ops managers to optimize the product. Responsibilities
General
- Work alongside the BI team on monitoring the health of the app and determining areas of opportunity
- Help drive the strategic direction and implementation of our suite of self-service dashboards
- Ensure data is accurate and comprehensive- be a data quality champion for myKONAMI
- Take pride in the quality of your work output. Your code, analyses, and documentation all reflect that of someone who is extremely detail-oriented
- Own the outcome and success of our live event team’s performance. Partner closely with product managers, app designers, and other teams across the studio to identify the most impactful business problems through data-driven intelligence
- Translate problems into structured analyses or data products that directly drive actionable insights that maximize value
- Be an advocate for data-enabled decision making and analysis based strategy
Reporting and analysis
- Update weekly and bi-weekly presentations with performance metrics and recommendations with Product Managers
- Create presentations for and present to internal as well as executives
- Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed
- Develop and manage all self-service dashboards for the app
- Instrument in-game actions by working in tandem with Engineering and Data Platform teams, enabling us to track, measure, and evaluate the performance of new features and game content
Required
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Computer science or other quantitative disciplines
- 1+ years work experience analyzing large datasets in analytics or product-centric role
- Advanced to expert SQL skills
- Excel, Powerpoint, and data visualization skills
- Prior experience presenting to decision-makers
- Experience working in both structured and unstructured data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a capacity for translating product and business needs into technical specifications
- Strong presentation skills (google slides, ppt) and experience representing
- internally, externally, and to executives
- Ability to work with global cross-functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to go with your technical expertise. Data storytelling is mandatory.
- A team player that is results-focused and intellectually curious. You bring a "can-do" attitude and are looking to deliver on initiatives in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Familiar with and passionate about analyzing user behavior on consumer mobile applications
Preferred
- Deep understanding of mobile free-to-play games
- Ability to build rich and complex data sets for analysis or tool building
- Tableau or Power BI experience
- Experience driving product direction through data and analysis
