Junior Associate Producer

Job Description

As a Jr. Associate Producer, you will assist our team manage the development and operation of our current and future mobile games! Being responsible for the efficient management of the development team, this role focuses on dealing with a wide range of production teams! With an emphasis on planning, meeting deadlines, and motivating the production team the Jr. Associate Producer will play an integral role within our Halifax Studio. This position will report directly to the applicable Producer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production team with the day-to-day operation of projects, as well as internal/external communication throughout the game development process.
• Follow and facilitate the internal production process to ensure the teams run efficiently using Scrum and Agile methodologies that empower the team to deliver high quality results.
• Manage communications between various teams (Art, Programming, Design, etc.).
• Take responsibility for optimizing time, budget and quality, for all assigned projects.
• Assist in time management, planning, task prioritization, resource coordination, risk assessment and proactive problem solving within the assigned project.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working within a project management role, using Agile Methodologies or other highly iterative development processes.
• Having shipped at least one (1) title, preferably in Mobile Games.
• A demonstrated passion for creating fun, compelling and innovative user experiences!
• A demonstrated track-record of effective project management skills, time management, and responsive problem-solving within an inter-departmental work environment.
• An expressed ability to communicate effectively across different audiences, and external stake-holders on a broad range of topics, e.g. technical, business, and creative (oral/written).
• A strong working knowledge of MS Office tools and JIRA.
• The ability to work effecively independently and within an organized team environment!

Studio Description

Our studio is located in the heart of the city (Halifax) within the historic and iconic Keith's Brewery Market. The Halifax Harbour is in view from our windows and lunch breaks can be spent on the boardwalk or at one of the many restaurants and cafes that populate the downtown core.
