ROLE OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for a junior accountant to be part of the small and vibrant finance team. This is an exciting role for an up and coming accountant and will provide an excellent training ground in a great industry, people who are early on in their accounting studies will be suited well to the role.

Requirements

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Generating invoices and account statements
• Allocating payments & remittance advices
• Performing credit checks and account reconciliations
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
• Weekly debt collection
• Producing royalty reports throughout the month
• Stock control and reconciliation
• Assisting FA and FC with month end tasks
• Helping with ad hoc reports and tasks as and when they arise

YOU HAVE:

• Very good understanding of basic accounting principles
• Good excel skills (lookups/pivot tables)
• Strong attention to detail, able to identify errors and ensure accuracy in financial records
• Self motivated with a 'can-do' attitude
• Ability to multitask and work well in a small team
• Resilient with the ability to work under pressure and at pace
• 1+ years’ experience of working in a finance function of a SME
• Working knowledge of Sage 200 or other similar accounting systems
• Basic understanding of data query tools such as Looker
• Working towards an accounting qualification, preferably AAT (study support can be offered to the successful candidate)
• Interest in computer games a plus
