Javascript Games Developer

Dubit is looking for a HTML5 / Javascript Games developer to join us in building products for some of the biggest names in the children's entertainment business such as Lego, Mattel, PBS and Dreamworks.

We are a growing sixty-plus community of developers, designers, gamers, football fans, dungeon masters, parents and morris dancers! Who are all busy during the day building large scale app and game projects, for clients such as the BBC, Topps Match Attax, Lego and many more. We have a huge variety of projects and technologies, so there’s always something new and interesting to work on.

This position is local or remote, however, if you are applying remotely we prefer that you are within a couple of hours of the UK timezone and fluent in English.

Requirements

• Experience in Pixi.JS or similar and used common JS libraries and frameworks to build JS apps
• Strong and demonstrable Javascript coding experience
• Understanding of up to date best practices in writing HTML5 Games
• Understand the life cycle of a HTML5 Game
• Experience using source control (GIT, SVN etc)
• Ability to profile and optimise Javascript games

Ideal Candidates would also have

• Understanding of front end design principles and a keen eye for quality
• Experience working in the agile development methodology
• Experience working on mobile web or native games

Our day to day process:

• Work as part of a cross-disciplined team of technical and non-technical members
• Planning work in an agile Scrum process
• Conducting pair programming when beneficial
• Performing and receiving regular code reviews
• Automated testing and deployment to our QA environment of merged pull requests
