Exploding Kittens is seeking an experienced Localization Coordinator to supervise and manage localization projects for our games, products, and ancillary assets. In this role you will assist on all localization needs, and contribute to the future planning and structuring of the localization needs of the company. Our ideal candidate is an experienced project manager with a focus in localization and a working knowledge of the sensitivities and technical complexities of other cultures and languages.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
- Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver localization projects in a timely manner, with a high quality, and in accordance with cross-functional/stakeholder needs
- Develop project scopes and objectives while involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation
- Report and escalate project progress, scope, changes, concerns and/or risks to management on a weekly basis and in real time as they occur in order to ensure timely course correction
- Organize, attend, participate in, and lead when applicable, stakeholder meetings
- Liaise with external partners for non-English-speaking markets to provide them with the information needed to produce localized SKUs
- Monitor and execute best practices and processes to ensure timely, reliable and efficient localization
WHAT WE NEED
- 3+ years of project management experience in complex projects, ideally in localization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, and strong interpersonal skills are a must; proficiency in German, French or Italian is a plus
- Multilingual and multicultural background, with working knowledge of the sensitivities and technical complexities of other languages
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Experience with the DTP and printed physical product a plus
- Detail-oriented approach with an ability to also keep an eye on the big picture
- Proficiency with applicable collaboration tool and systems including the Google Suite
