PLAYSTUDIOS is seeking an International Accounting Manager for the Controllership team in our Las Vegas studio. This position will assist the US-based Controllership group with the accounting operations of our international studios.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the ongoing financial activities of our foreign subsidiaries, primarily related to general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger, intercompany transactions, and the monthly close process.
- Onboard and integrate newly acquired or established entities
- Coordinate international accounting compliance, including analysis of US GAAP to local accounting differences.
- Assist with management of the fixed asset system for calculating additions, disposals, and depreciation related to the company’s international assets.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and ensure settlements are paid accurately, working with the Corporate Treasury department
- Oversee the company’s intercompany billings and processes in accordance with transfer pricing policies
- Prepare and/or review routine and non-routine journal entries, and review journal entries, as needed.
- Prepare and/or review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and review reconciliations, as needed.
- Oversee the monthly analytical reviews of the Company’s foreign subsidiaries’ balance sheets and income statements fluctuations.
- Oversee the foreign external service providers to meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs including VAT/GST and maintain proper supporting documentation for local country tax refunds/credits, in coordination with
- Assess current procedures and recommend improvements of key processes and controls.
- Prepare and submit other compliance reporting, as needed.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the financial statement audit.
- Develop direct reports by managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
- Knowledgeable of US GAAP and IFRS.
- 5+ years with managerial experience in a multi-country/currency environment.
- Experience with accounting systems and knowledge of the month-end close process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and BlackLine.
