Job SummaryThe Internal Communications Manager oversees the strategy, development, and implementation of Magic Leap internal communications. This individual will assist in the build and enhancement of our Employee Experience with a focus on engaging our employees through strategic communications. This individual collaborates with the People team and leaders in the business to drive Magic Leap’s culture and performance through communications. This role seeks to ensure that Magic Leap employees understand and are aligned to the company’s strategy and culture, know how to get things done, and feel motivated to contribute because they’re excited about our mission, vision, and values.

We are looking for a people-oriented and business savvy colleague with expertise in understanding audiences, delivering messaging, optimizing channels, and driving engagement. Magic Leap is a dynamic environment and you’ll need to be comfortable working—and writing—with speed and urgency, but also know how to build and project manage a thoughtful communication plan. Responsibilities:
- Lead internal employee experience communications for Magic Leap
- Create an internal communications strategy with roles, responsibilities, and governance
- Help create and drive adoption of Magic Leap’s employee brand
- Help drive adoption of our values and define and institutionalize our culture
- Draft internal communications for our CEO and other executives
- Develop and deploy strategic communication plans for key internal campaigns
- Create communications deliverables—presentations, articles, emails, etc including but not limited to an internal newsletter and internal company wide meetings
- Represent our brand and values
- Use employee insights to inform your communications approach
- Stay current on trends and best practices for engaging employees
- Create content for and manage the employee experience on our company Intranet
- Support Employee Engagement efforts
Basic qualifications:
- 7+ years of communications experience (preferably in tech with a focus on employee engagement)
- A track record of building consensus and delivering high-impact global communications initiatives
- Proven ability to develop strategy and execute day-to-day tactics
- Passion for inspiring, creating and telling memorable stories
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented; takes initiative with minimal supervision in a highly collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

- Business savvy, specifically for a global, technology company
- Change management experience
- Growth mindset
Education:- BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university
