Job Description
As an Intermediate Social Systems Designer, you will be responsible for developing social features, flows, and interactive elements that complement the gameplay of a major Ubisoft IP on mobile, to help realize the vision of the Lead Designer/Creative Director of a socially enhanced multiplayer experience!
Key Responsibilities
- Share ownership in the design of social centered features such as clans, teams, and chat, as well as coordinating how they interact with other game system elements;
- Work alongside Programming, UI, and Production to drive development towards the vision laid out by the Lead Meta Systems Designer.
- Document and communicate the product features to the entire production team, and regularly update documentation to offer a useful reference for teams.
- Actively participate in the creation of prototypes in order to adjust and validate systems prior to starting production. Assess the success of prototypes by measuring how objectives are met, using relevant quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Work closely with Producers and Live Ops Teams to manage social features, utilizing user-data, community feedback, competitive insights, and industry best practices!
- Perform other tasks as required;
Qualifications
- A track record of having shipped at least 1 title (ideally on mobile);
- A college diploma, degree or applicable work-related experience in Game Design/Production.
- Maintained 6+ months of active live-ops design for a game (ideally multiplayer)
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience working within the Games Industry!
- A demonstrated ability of effective time-management skills, with a proven ability to focus on priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines!
- A passion for cross-discipline collaboration and a genuine interest in games, especially F2P Mobile Gaming!
Bonus Skills:
- Experience in Team-Based Multiplayer games (Squad Shooters, MOBA's, Etc.).
- Live-Ops Experience,
- Hands-on experience with Unity;
- A working familiarity with Test Data and KPI's!
