KIXEYE is looking for a multi-talented designer to create new features and content for their core game teams. KIXEYE designers balance both quantitative and qualitative insights to design and optimize smart, engaging features f or our active and growing user base for our mobile/desktop Games!
What you get to do every day:
- Assist with the creation of the game including systems, content and levels.
- Model and tune complex game systems using Excel
- Deliver innovative features that are engaging and compelling
- Work with engineering and art teams to implement new features and systems
- Continually analyze live data and player feedback to optimize the game
- Communicate with our players about new features and their experiences and use that knowledge to improve the game
- Provide clear feature documentation, diagrams, wireframes and/or prototypes
- Analyze live data and player feedback to continually optimize existing game experience
- Assist in writing of game editorial content, including fiction, descriptions, and tutorials
What you bring to the role:
- 2+ years of game design experience for a shipped product
- Ability to analyze gameplay mechanics and feature designs
- Experience and interest with player-driven economies
- Able to design game systems, individual gameplay features & player progressions
- Understanding of game balance, including statistics, virtual goods, economics and user motivations
- Understanding of interaction design concepts and principles
- Able to excel in an agile team environment
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Experience writing product specifications
- A passion for playing and making video games
- Game design degree a plus
Location: Canada, remote work or office in Victoria BC
Reports to: Design Director, Lead Game Designer, or Executive Producer
