Group Intercompany Accounting
- Understand the Group intercompany policy and be accountable for the processes to implement the policy
- Communication of Group policy and procedures to all global business units (BU) partners, stakeholders and dependencies, including setting timetables to meet Group deadlines. Monitor adherence to the timetable through the reporting period, and be adaptive to changes as needed
- Training and supporting BU adherence to the intercompany policy and processes
- Reviewing intercompany agreements / arrangements and validating accounting treatment against policy
- Intercompany AR invoice requisition and AP invoice processing, payment process review and balance confirmation
- Prepare and post month-end intercompany recharge journal entries and balance review and confirmation to regions/busines units (pre and post closing)
- Group consolidation review and intercompany elimination journal entries posting to meet the month-end close deadline
- Monthly reconciliations of intercompany accounts and IC matrix confirmation.
- Continous monitor and improve the intercompany process
Business accounting advisory and partnering
- Build and maintain relationships with BU partners and stakeholders.
- Provide intercompany balances and transactions to key stakeholders (Tax / Treasury) for their reporting and decision-making requirement including:
- Pre-month-end I/C balances confirmation
- Advise on large I/C transactions during month-end
- Collate month-end I/C and cash balances groupwide in local currencies
- Produce and present monthly FX hedging report for effectiveness monitoring
- Supporting stakeholder and BU adhoc queries relating to intercompany matters
Compliance and governance support (External and Internal)
- Support statutory financial reporting requirements (ASX) by timely completion of the required intercompany reconciliations/schedules, confirmations
- External audit support related to intercompany
- Supporting tax reporting requirements by producing required statutory recharges, intercompany and other supporting information.
- Other ad-hoc regulatory reporting support as required (i.e. ABS survey)
Team support
- As a pivotal team member to foster a high-performance culture where quality output matters.
- Providing coaching, training and backup to other team members, as well as regional intercompany accountants and supporting them in meeting deadlines and resolving issues
