Reporting to the Senior Manager of Intellectual Property Operations within the Moderation team, the Intellectual Property Operations Program Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the IP Operations team. This includes implementing strategies to prevent and address intellectual property infringement, managing enforcement actions, and working with internal stakeholders to curb unauthorized intellectual property use and protect the organization's rights. You will partner with Legal, Safety Product and Engineering, and Developer Relations, as you navigate global safe harbor laws and push forward Roblox’s mission to maintain a safe platform for its creators.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Intellectual Property Operations.
You Will:
- Serve as the escalation point for complex matters.
- Prioritize daily work according to queue volume, team risk matrix, and critical metrics, collaborating effectively with outsource partners, shifting resources as necessary to meet service level agreements
- Provide recommendations for improving the organization's intellectual property protection and enforcement efforts.
- Monitor and report on intellectual property infringement activities, including identifying emerging trends and threats.
- Track metrics for measuring and predicting resource requirements with the team's processing of legal requests and follow-up correspondence.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in intellectual property enforcement, including experience managing enforcement programs and developing strategies to prevent intellectual property infringement.
- Deep familiarity with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
- The ability to work through ambiguity with an emphasis on making policy-informed decisions
- Demonstrated success implementing scalable solutions to complex operations challenges
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technically diverse audiences
- Experience working collaboratively to improve processes measurably
- Proficient knowledge of Looker or other data visualization tools
- Proficient knowledge of Jira or other bug and project tracking systems
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$159,870 — $184,180 USD
