Instructional Designer / Technical Writer

Wargaming is looking for an Instructional Designer / Technical Writer to create and support online game guides and global news articles for World of Tanks and other Wargaming products. To make our content effective and engaging, we enhance it with rich media: interactive widgets, animation, and videos.
If you can explain complex stuff in simple words and would like to work with text, graphics, and animation, we want you on our team!
What will you do?
- Develop, edit, and update various user documentation (game guides and manuals, training materials, FAQs, instructions, etc.) in English and Russian following set standards regarding terminology, style, clarity, and conciseness
- Translate, proofread, and edit internally and externally created content to ensure quality and stylistic consistency
- Create and localize interactive and animated content for game guides and news articles
- Develop and support project documentation, content style guides, and glossaries
- Prepare presentations and infographics
- Develop and update documentation templates
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics or a related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of English (C1 - С2 level) and Russian
- Professional writing, editing, and proofreading experience
- Ability to produce and tune creative content in a timely fashion
- Outstanding analytical skills, critical thinking, strong attention to detail, and ability to explain complex processes in a simple and user-friendly manner
- Ability to collect, structure, and visualize vast amounts of information
- Good command of PC and Microsoft Office software
- Fast learning abilities
- Gaming experience
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience in writing and designing user documentation
- Strong understanding of usability principles
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Basic to advanced skills with Adobe tools (Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Edge Animate)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Manual of Style and Chicago Manual of Style
- Experience in IT sphere
- Knowledge of Wargaming products
