Insights Analyst II - Central Technology

The Strategic Advisory department helps Rioters make strategic data-informed decisions. We're an interdisciplinary group of scientists, economists, consultants, and strategists from all sorts of backgrounds who join together to represent and advocate for players around the world.

As an Insights Analyst II on the Central Technology team, you'll report to a Strategic Advisory Manager, focusing in part on Live Ops, and in part on emergent priorities of CT. The main goals of SA in Central Tech are to help leaders make decisions, guide and build strategic and financial plans, improve processes and systems and monitor performance. You will tackle everything from processing and visualizing data, to running point on qualitative special projects for CT.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Live Ops uptime reporting data pipeline and visualization, teach others to maintain it, and help guide feature improvements when they are needed
• Work on special projects for CT, such as creating automated reports that provide business leaders self-service reports with important headcount or financial metrics, or completing an investigation into how Riot should think about patenting technology it develops
• Improve our cost allocation data pipelines / visualizations, or own a piece of CT's upcoming customer-facing tool which will aggregate and show all costs and usage to the consumers of tech
• Level up the data skills of non-Insights folks on CT's Technology Strategy & Ops team

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional experience in consulting, data analysis, data visualization or related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience .
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Tableau or similar data visualization software
• Experience analyzing large datasets and communicating recommendations to leadership/partners
• Experience working with senior leaders

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R
• Experience automating data pipelines and visualizations
• Experience driving work in ambiguous settings by breaking it down into pieces
• Understanding of technological solutions and concepts such as data pipelines and cloud, and how they impact player or internal customer experience
