POSITION OVERVIEW

Working within the SEGA Europe Central Marketing team, this brand-new role at SEGA Europe will be responsible for developing creative and strategic influencer marketing and communications plans across our broad spectrum of games. This would include products from SEGA Europe’s ‘Pillars’; Creative Assembly, Relic Entertainment, Sports Interactive, Amplitude Studios, Two Point Studios and SEGA Searchlight (an internal incubation pillar focusing on new IP).

You’ll work closely with the SEGA Europe communications, social and product marketing teams and our studio counterparts. Your level of involvement on individual products will range from advisory to full strategic development, depending on the level of support required per product. You will also be responsible for our in-house influencer partner programme, which focuses on building relevant influencer relationships across all SEGA Europe products and the SEGA brand itself.

We’re looking for an experienced, personable, credible, well-organised individual with strong entrepreneurial spirit and a creative streak. This position will also require domestic and international travel to attend industry and consumer events, join meetings and visit studios in the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Growth and management of our in-house influencer partner programme, building mutually beneficial relationships with relevant influencers across our broad range of titles and for the overarching SEGA brand.
• Be the point person at SEGA Europe for all things influencer related, lending your expertise to internal and studio teams when needed, ensuring all internal influencer activity is properly coordinated and efficiently managed.
• Be responsible for SEGA Europe’s paid influencer strategy and take the lead on managing influencer marketing agencies.
• Manage first party and platform relationships for earned influencer activity with the likes of Playstation, Nintendo, Microsoft, Twitch, TikTok and Youtube.
• Develop influencer marketing strategies where required on SEGA Europe products and contribute to the overall go-to-market product plans, always thinking globally.
• Work closely with our network of international communications & marketing agencies and partners to develop regional specific plans that can help implement your ideas worldwide.
• Help develop and project manage the creation and distribution of creator kits tailored to specific products.
• Work closely with the Community Manager to further develop and grow SEGA’s influencer facing Twitch presence.
• Collaborate with the wider communications and product marketing teams regularly, identifying opportunities for engaging influencer focused content that will resonate with fans of SEGA or our individual products.
• Report back to the business on all influencer related activity, ensuring KPIs are met and illustrating how budget and resource has been effectively managed.
• You’ll need to be able to analyse the data gleaned from activity and reporting to help better shape future strategies and relay these findings to relevant parties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A passion for and understanding gaming is important. A knowledge of strategy games is a huge plus but not a requirement.
• Ability to work with a variety of agencies and partners in multiple markets.
• A strong understanding of influencer platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, YouTube etc., and familiarity with the unique workings of each platform.
• An understanding of social listening tools such as Tubular and Synthesio, and the ability to suggest others where they might be necessary to better improve our insights.
• Good existing relationships with a wide range of influencers, from small to large, and the capacity to manage a growing database of contacts.
• Ability to work as part of a small and busy team.
• A creative thinker who is open to collaboration with numerous internal and studio teams to deliver the best results for SEGA Europe and its products.
• A good understanding of key local markets and the capacity to quickly learn about new ones.
• Knowledge of competitor products within the industry.
• Impeccable communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and reporting skills.
• A willingness to travel when it is safe and appropriate to do so again.
