Incubation Principal Marketing Manager

Bungie’s Publishing Organization is looking for a Principal Marketing Manager for our games in incubation! We are searching for a proven leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who has experience managing complex projects at early stages of product development. As the Principal Marketing Manager - Incubation, you will work alongside the development team to assist in delivering their vision and strategy for the next Bungie titles. You will lead early product testing to understand our target audience and feedback on our new games. You will develop early brand creative work as the games progress through incubation. Additionally, you will collaborate with the development team to deliver Publishing requirements during the incubation process.
Success in this role will require experience working with creative leaders to navigate ambiguous projects and bring organization and confidence to the process. Additionally, this role will work as a key contributing member of the business unit championing vital consumer insights, customer satisfaction, and commercial success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with senior leaders to drive and maintain a transparent Publishing process for titles in early incubation
- Build early brand iterations and input into testing plans for new games
- Maintain quality communication and planning between the Publishing Leadership teams, Development Leadership teams, and the broader Publishing organization
- Ensure international teams are integrated into the planning and execution of games in incubation
- Be the resident expert in early brand foundations for new Bungie titles
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Passion for games and game marketing
- Experience in an industry working on entertainment products
- Ability to work cooperatively and with respect across a broad group of leaders and contributors from a variety of fields
- Master negotiator, able to work within ambiguity and emerge with concrete deliverables in a diplomatic, positive culture
- Data-driven, analytical approach
- Strong understanding of all facets of marketing, including product marketing and performance marketing
- Discipline and judgment to ensure marketing processes deliver critically important priorities on a fixed cadence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in focus
- Strong critical-thinking, organization, time management and management skills
- Experience building and leading a marketing team
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience in development incubation processes, portfolio strategy, and tactics in which you have seen great ideas succeed and fail in execution and learned from those experiences
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, business analysis, and data-informed decision-making capabilities
- Be proficient with business intelligence tools working closely with analytics and services through an always learning mindset
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
