Import/Export Specialist (12-Month Contract)

Summary of the Role
Join the team that delivers the joy of Pokémon to fans around the world. Our Global Logistics and Compliance team is looking for an Import/Export Specialist to handle/support shipments from start to completion. If you take pride in your work and are a detailed person, this opportunity is for you!
What You Will Do
- Coordinate, facilitate and monitor import, export, foreign-to-foreign and transfer shipments
- Work with internal teams, shippers, freight forwarders and carriers
- Ensure timely and cost-effective shipping
- Ensure adherence to customs regulations, other regulatory requirements and company policies
- Assist with the maintenance of HTS database and records
- Asist//handle data entry for basic Denied Party List export screening
- Assist and/or handle non-standard export orders and foreign-to-foreign shipments, from origin to destination, timely and efficiently
- Prepare and distribute all required documentation on shipments you handle/support; ensure timely and accurate EEI (Electronic Export Information) filings for export shipments
- Obtain and review required import documents and work with customs brokers for customs clearance and to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs laws and regulations
- Identify, investigate and resolve issues and problems with your shipments as they arise
- Be primary contact for your shipments’ tracking and delivery status
- Document and archive import and export transactions, including foreign-to-foreign shipments, for customs records and compliance review.
- Obtain and maintain files for freight and international shipping quotes
- Other duties as required
What You Will Bring
- At least 2 years of relevant experience handling import or export shipments in freight forwarding, international logistics or other related position
- Familiar with basic international shipping terminology (e.g. HBL/MBL, MAWB/HAWB, ETD/ATD, ETA/ATA, shipper, importer, exporter, forwarder, carrier, customs, customs brokers, etc.)
- Familiar with international trade documents including commercial invoice, packing list, customs entries, export declarations (EEI, SLI, USPPI), etc.
- Familiarity with HTS codes, Incoterms, US Customs requirements
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with the Pokémon brand a plus

What to Expect
We offer a professional, fun and creative work environment. While we maintain a good balance between work and life, additional hours may be required at peak times or for specific initiatives. Travel to various warehouses to assist in physical inventory counts may be required.
