We are looking for someone like you to become our IT Technical and join our passionate and talented IT team, where we are building on the years of success that Rebellion has enjoyed.
About the Role:
The IT Technician role is dedicated to diagnose and resolve software, hardware and network incidents, including Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and across a range of software applications. You will assist users with any logged IT related incident when called upon, take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service as soon as possible. As part of the IT Team, you will play a key role in a resolving Service Desk tickets locally and across the rest of the Rebellion group and work with other staff within IT and from different departments and with various levels of seniority
This role would suit someone with at least 2 years previous experience in a Windows PC desktop support role, working experience of Windows 10 and as an advantage, have experience of working with Unix or Linux based systems as well as have experience of working with virtualization.
The Rebellion IT Team work to provide a high level of service for our people across the Rebellion Group by working to understand needs and requirements while minimising disruption of service so that we ensure an efficient and stable development environment for the studios. This is a hands-on technical role working from our Wakefield office, providing proactive troubleshooting of technical issues across our IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure regular communication and updates with their line manager, discussing any difficulties they are encountering or other worries they may have.
- Build strong collaborative working relationships with all members of the team and with the wider studio, regardless of discipline or seniority.
- Be confident dealing with all levels of seniority including non-technical colleagues both face to face and using other electronic forms of communication.
- To diagnose and resolve software, hardware and network incidents, including Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems and across a range of software applications.
- To assist users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.
- To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service as soon as possible.
- To escalate incidents to other support team members where necessary.
- To accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
- To build, upgrade, install and configure IT equipment; replacing parts as needed.
- To prioritise and manage many open issues at a time.
- To set up user accounts, profiles and passwords.
- To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development. These may be on the job training sessions.
- To work within the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Occasionally undertake other duties not specifically stated.
- Although the jobholder may be trained on the job, they will be expected to develop their skills using their own initiative.

- Mandatory: at least 2 years previous experience in a Windows PC desktop support role.
