IT Technician II - Esports, ETG

As Riot continues to deliver and scale content to a global audience of passionate gamers, Riot's Esports IT must grow to meet the challenges and opportunities related to scaling multiple esports on multiple platforms. All of this is done whilst defining and implementing functional solutions. This means taking a practical approach to solution development and creatively adapting to circumstances as they change in real time. Moreover, your work is directly tied to the stage experience of pro players across the globe. Your craft knowledge, and connection to the user experience is paramount in this role. Your product is not only what they practice on, but what is literally used on stage and being watched by millions of people.
As an IT Technician II reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will manage our esports fleets. You will help redesign the IT ecosystem for esports needs to cover current and upcoming problem spaces. You will ensure your products align with our product roadmaps, syncing with the broader Esports Technology Group to achieve your goals. You will create workflows that can be exercised in the best of times, and ensure the least pain possible when completing disaster recovery workflows in the worst of times.

This role will require international travel as we support global events working inside and outside the US. Expected travel 2-4 weeks 3-4 times a year.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory, maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting for all IT hosts and devices in the esports fleet, up to and including: PCs, laptops, mobile devices, VMs, containers..
- You will minimize pain and maximize boredom in all IT workflows: Process development, Automation, and Documentation will be your mantra as you try to make everything simpler and more efficient.
- Ensure compliance based on all Esports Technology Group standards and security policies
- Identify gaps in infrastructure and accomplish projects to improve the quality of service
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of IT experience
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell to help automate administrative tasks
- Experience managing Windows 10, Server 2008, and Server 2012+ services, including hands on experience with system installation and configuration, file system concepts, resource monitoring, user administration, package management, and process control
- Experience building windows image creation, deployment, and endpoint management at medium to large-scale (MDT, WDS, SCCM, FOG, or similar technologies)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing Azure AD, O365, and hybrid windows environments
- Experience servicing a broad spectrum of development collaboration tools, including GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, and Google Apps
- Familiarity with MDM solutions and managing mobile device users in a restricted environment
- An interest in esports and openness to working international events
