Role Overview
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and securing the IT infrastructure of our studio in Manila, but also in the other studios in APAC.
While it is expected that the candidate has a broad experience in various systems administration categories, we are currently and specifically looking for specialists that have technical skills in administration of both Windows and Unix system in a virtual or physical environment
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all the systems related infrastructure including the hardware and software.
- Comply and enforce company IT security policies
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the business continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
- Regular review of security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Supervise Active Directory
- Maintain and implement GPO policies according to regional and global policies
- Maintain and improve existing deployment servers and windows update services
- Train and mentor the other IT team members
- Document and maintain Knowledge Base for new project implementation
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals and stays current with system information, changes and updates.
- Any other tasks, Adhoc or permanent as required by the business
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong experience in any (at least 4):
- Overall Systems Administration
- Backup and Recovery Administration (Veeam Backup and Replication, any other online backup services, and DRP design)
- MS Windows Server 2012-2019. (DNS, AD, DHCP, WSUS, WDS+MDT, IIS, RDP, GPOs, etc)
- MS Office 365 Administration
- Experience with virtualization technology: Hyper-V / VMWare
- Storage Administration (Storage controllers, Samba, FreeNAS, Synology, EMC etc.)
- Software Deployment Tools (PDQ, SCCM, WSUS, etc)
- Knowledgeable in:
- Network infrastructure, file transfer protocols and security
- Infrastructure best practices
- Project Management
- Linux (Server and client configuration, Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSUSE)
- High-level of problem-solving skills on infrastructure/desktops issues
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Good verbal and written English communication skill (virtual / face-to-face)
- Proactive and autonomous in completing tasks
Optional Requirements (Nice-to-have)
- Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc)
- Automation and Configuration Management (PDQ, WSUS, SCCM, WDS)
- Technical Certification (ITIL, Microsoft Certicates, etc)
- Experience in the videogame industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT
- Minimum 5 years of IT technical experience in a similar role
- Ability to work under a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment
