IT Cloud Systems Architect

Certain Affinity is looking for a talented and self-motivated individual to join the Technical Operations team as an IT Systems Engineer. This role reports to the Director of Technical Operations, and the successful candidate will possess extreme resourcefulness, excellent planning and project management skills, solid communication skills, and in-depth technical background. This person should be strong at assessing the IT needs of all studio disciplines and strive to deliver first-class customer service in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Engineer cloud infrastructure, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and maintenance
- Routinely monitor cloud configuration and identify opportunities to reduce costs
- Identify and improve efficiency through automation using tools such as Ansible
- Mentor fellow IT team members
- Work within a DevOps team to provide cloud systems platform configurations for computing, networking, storage, and security
- Identify, implement, and support new tools, server applications, and technology for internal and external customers, including our development teams, business team, and business partners
- Work closely with stakeholders and other team members to define and translate functional requirements into technical designs
- Taking a lead role in the deployment and implementation efforts for new production projects and business development efforts
- Assist fellow teammates with problem solving and escalations
- Provide regular reports and status updates on incidents and projects
- Document IT infrastructure, processes, and performed changes/maintenance
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service attention to the needs of the various studio departments and external partners
Requirements
- Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes
- 10+ years of extensive systems administration
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- Demonstrate excellence and competency with AWS or similar cloud architecture
- Provision and deploy infrastructure as code
- Refactor virtual machines into Docker containers
- Develop and maintain code or scripts to automate tasks
- Extensive experience with internal customers and external partner support and communications
- Able to learn, plan, architect, configure, and deploy new technology as directed
- Strong knowledge supporting MS Windows/Active Directory and Linux
- Strong knowledge and ability to support virtualization platforms
- Strong knowledge and experience with networking technologies and protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate analytical/problem-solving ability time management and organizational skills
- Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines
- Must be prepared for occasional work hours at night and on weekends
- A desire to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
