IT Product Manager - Custom Development
The Corporate Applications team is home to many dedicated engineers and designers who build and support custom developed applications for employees across Activision Blizzard, Blizzard Entertainment, and King. We are looking for a Program Manager to prioritize and drive the vision for the custom software development team. This individual will support key central initiatives and will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of products and/or programs including concept inception, delivery, and adoption. This position will interface closely with executives, business collaborators, product designers and software engineers to deliver innovative solutions for our employees.
Responsibilities
Strategic
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for our portfolio of applications.
- Find opportunities to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- Deliver on highly visible projects that align with organizational goals
Leadership
- Lead and influence without explicit authority.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business requirements.
- Lead the software development lifecycle and drive the technology team on all aspects of delivery, performing in a program manager, product owner, and project management capacity.
- Contribute to a team environment that encourages collaboration, ongoing feedback, and participation throughout the team.
- Launch products, lead organizational readiness activities, and partner with collaborators to drive adoption.
Day to Day
- Serve as day-to-day product owner for multiple products with the support of the engineering and design team.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks or issues that might impede assigned projects, and develop mitigation plans or solutions to resolve.
- Prioritize feature requests and bugs against other competing priorities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key executives, senior leaders, partners, and team resources throughout the organization to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
- Perform all project management activities from project discovery through post-implementation efforts, including definition and management of achievements, requirements, work plan, resources, vendors, budget, scope, issues and risks, change, and collaborators.
- Create status reports and communicate effectively and proactively to all levels of the organization regarding status, schedules, risks, issues, etc.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience managing digital products in an agile/SCRUM development environment, with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-organizational, complex enterprise application programs or projects applying internal and vendor resources.
- Experience applying agile methodologies on software development projects
- Familiarity with long-term product roadmap planning and evaluating competing projects
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with little supervision
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to portray your ideas and build consensus using exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Pluses
- Certified Scrum Product Owner, or equivalent
- Familiarity with productivity tools like Jira, Miro, Figma,for collaboration and task tracking
- Experience working with product designers
- Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics or Tableau
