IT Desktop Support Technician

Rooster Teeth is looking for a skilled IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team. The new role is responsible for building, configuring, deploying, modifying, and repairing local and remote computers. This position will be based in Austin, Texas.
A strong candidate will have proven expertise in PC and Apple hardware; experience in troubleshooting both Windows and Mac operating systems; troubleshooting networking issues; and have exceptional customer service skills to help Rooster Teeth fulfill its objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain IT services to ensure they are stable, consistently functional and deliver the business value
- Respond to email and face-to-face requests for technical support
- Maintain good relations with end users
- Provided support on a variety of IT related issues
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
- Manage ticket request volume and follow-up with users
- Install and maintain Windows and Mac operating systems (OS)
- Troubleshoot PC hardware and software
- Follow policies and processes to ensure security and effectiveness of business operations
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with helpdesk support
- 2-3 years hardware experience (ability to build, diagnose, and repair computers; strong troubleshooting skills)
- 2-3 years software experience (installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows 10 and Apple OSX)
- Working knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Able and willing to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Willing to work during maintenance schedules (after hours, early mornings, occasional weekends, only 3-4 times a year)

- Effective business/customer relationship experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that can effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical business users
- Good organization and time-management skills
- Reliability and dependability

- Team-motivated with a good work ethic and desire to constantly improve
- Must be comfortable working in a highly collaborative team
Bonus:
- Experience with JAMF, Intune, G Suite, Office 365, Active Directory, Scripting languages, Zoom, WebEx, Jira, Confluence, Aruba, Android, iOS
