IT Application Manager

About the role

We are looking for a talented Application Manager to join our small but dedicated IT team, currently consisting of our support team, Systems Engineer, IT Project Manager, IT Security Engineer and Head of IT. The primary objective for this role is to ensure that the employees of Paradox have access to appropriate tools to accomplish their goals while also keeping track of the cost. You will be responsible for negotiating deals, continuously evaluating potential alternatives and ensuring that our employees receive sufficient education to use these tools. This will be tracked by various metrics in our IT service desk system and recurring employee satisfaction surveys. Other responsibilities include proactively maintaining and updating our core applications to live up to our established KPIs, supporting our colleagues in their day-to-day work as well as contributing to the future IT application landscape.

You will be trusted to take ownership of the entire lifecycle surrounding our applications to ensure that they are maintained in an efficient and secure manner as well as keeping yourself and others up-to-date with new features and implementations. The role may also include leading internal projects together with other departments based on their requests and established needs. Lastly, you will lead and/or assist in contract negotiations for key systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Application lifecycle management, troubleshooting, licensing and capacity planning
• Plan and deploy application updates and security patches
• Educate the organization regarding the use of core applications
• Documentation of administrative tasks
• Fulfillment of service desk requests regarding acquisition of new applications and advanced application support

Requirements

• 3+ years experience from application management, ideally at an international company
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent acquired knowledge
• Experience of Atlassian products administration will be considered an advantage

You are inquisitive and able to grasp complex needs of various departments and roles within our company. As a person we think you are pragmatic, goal-oriented and service-minded. You like helping people and are able to work well both in teams as well as independently. You are thorough and enjoy creating structure from chaos. Furthermore, you are able to take initiatives and take a proactive approach to ensuring our IT delivery is smooth and efficient. You are fully fluent in English and have excellent communication skills.
