IT Administrator

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and personable systems administrator to join our team. Applicants will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, while also possessing the ability to work without supervision.
Responsibilities
- Serve as IT support, coordinating with the IT team to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues on PC workstations and Windows and Linux based servers
- Day to day administration of Windows server environment: AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, and related applications
- Administration of Linux based services
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (including VPN support)
- Use imaging and deployment tools to insure workstations and applications are deployed in a standardized manner
- Design and assist in administering backup and restoration systems, offsite data management, long term storage media inventory control, etc.
- Develop and maintain documentation for procedures and user resolution documentation
- Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems
- On call rotation for 24 x 7 support
- Manage network components for monitoring network/system resources
- Evaluate security/redundancy measures for critical networking components
- Organize the installation/management of networking components (routers, firewalls, switches, and VOIP phone system)
Requirements
- Possess a thorough understanding of the Windows operating system, Active Directory, and Group Policy in an enterprise environment
- Understanding of Linux server administration, using CLI to configure and manage Linux servers
- Understanding of standard security concepts and practices
- Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 networking and management
- Knowledge of server and PC workstation hardware, software and security essentials
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving skills
- Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
- Ability to work calmly in high pressure situations and manage multiple ongoing projects.
- A strong interest in games and creating an awesome player experience
- VMWare administration experience
Preferences
- Excellent organization and problem solving skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to new and changing technology
- Familiarity with website management
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field, MCSE certification, or equivalent experience
- Experience with Juniper and Fortinet networking hardware
- Experience with network monitoring software such as Zabbix, Nagios, Zenoss, or Solarwinds
- Experience with Perforce, JIRA, and Jenkins
- Experience working with Console Development Kit hardware
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks
