IT Administrator - Blue Mammoth Games

Job Description

Our studio develops online games that serve huge player bases worldwide on a variety of platforms. We are looking for a motivated IT administrator to join our team as a full time permanent employee in Atlanta, GA.

What you'll do:

• Be the first line of support for studio staff for any IT issues or needs in our Atlanta studio
• Administer, support and troubleshoot all studio hardware (computers, printers, monitors, etc.), software and network systems
• Recommend, procure and configure new hardware and software for studio staff
• Assist in data center hardware upgrades, maintenance and network configuration
• Monitor trends in IT best practices and implement improvements
• Coordinate with other IT groups within Ubisoft
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Preferred: Create and maintain tools written in C#, C++ and similar languages
• Preferred: Assist QA team with game testing before major releases

Qualifications

Qualifications and qualities we are looking for:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage yourself and your tasks with little oversight
• Excellent troubleshooting and research skills
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
• Prior IT administrator or related experience
• Prior experience with building your own PC
• Prior experience working in a data center is a big plus
• Prior experience administering SQL Server is a plus
• Experience in computer science, programming, network infrastructure management, or other relevant experience is a big plus
• Knowledge of C#, C++ or similar programming language is a plus
• A degree in computer science, information technologies, or related field is a big plus
• Being a gamer yourself is a big plus
