Sr. IP Franchise Manager

PUBG Corp. is the developer and publisher of the blockbuster video game, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG). Since its release, PUBG has received worldwide acclaim and has sold many millions of copies, winning multiple game awards worldwide and setting the standard for the battle royale genre. Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, PUBG Corp. has operational offices globally across North America, Europe, Japan, China, and South East Asia.

Our company has already positioned itself as popular game IP across the globe. We plan to bolster PUBG game IP into more comprehensive IP that goes beyond the boundaries of the game industry. We have been leveraging PUBG IP to create and add depth to the lore and new titles, and we are looking for someone who can join us on our way to becoming leading global IP. We are seeking a Senior IP Franchise Manager who will work full-time in our Santa Monica office. The right candidate will leverage proven IP management skills and become a vital leader in the development of our creative strategy. This position reports to our Global Head of Creative and is a great opportunity to bridge the gap between the gaming industry, the entertainment industry and eventually consumer goods.

Responsibilities

• Actively expand the PUBG Universe: Proactively seek and propose opportunities for Universeexpansion with various brands or agencies
• Actively search and identify partnership opportunities with partners (studios, productions, distributors, etc.) for production of PUBG Universe contents
• Strategically classify and manage various types of PUBG Universe content
• Review, decide and manage all types of proposals related to PUBG Universe/Universe Content
• Draw up and present a mid to long-term Universe franchise management plan to company leadership
• Communicate with related companies (KRAFTON, Tencent) regarding Universe usage – acting as a communication bridge
• Communicate with PUBG’s major teams (dev, regional biz) regarding PUBG Universe
• Closely cooperate with IP development (production) teams within Dept.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic PUBG fan, with knowledge of the game and it’s maps
• Passion and faith that PUBG can grow into leading global IP
• 7+ years of experience in IP franchise management for an entertainment or gaming company
• Experience in global IP management
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
