The HR Manager reports to the CEO and partners with the management team to shape a company that attracts, nurtures, and retains the very best talent in the industry. Note that while we are all currently working remotely, when we are able to return to the office you will be expected to have an on-site presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition

- Create and drive a talent acquisition strategy to achieve the studio’s hiring goals

- Actively recruit on behalf of Demiurge, interview candidates, and facilitate hiring decisions

- Monitor upcoming business opportunities and collaborate with development managers to understand potential staffing needs

- Review job descriptions, post new positions to the applicant tracking system, and lift visibility on social media platforms

- Track the hiring pipeline and report on recruiting metrics

Culture

- Adopt, nurture, and promote Demiurge’s company values

- Develop initiatives to promote diversity, equity and inclusion

- Create systems for recognition which drive employee engagement, retention, and cohesion

- Be a trusted person in the organization with whom everyone feels they can share ideas or solicit advice

People Development

- Implement and refine performance management processes

- Collaborate with discipline leadership to establish career growth paths and compensation frameworks

- Establish and execute education initiatives for general workplace skills and people management skills

HR Management

- Ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years as a human resources professional or talent acquisition manager

- Demonstrated experience achieving significant staff growth

- Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills

- Project management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to achieve goals on a timeline

- Ability to identify potential or exceptional talent in candidates

- Full understanding of recruiting best practices including outreach, communication, tracking, negotiation, and hiring

- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment

- A Bachelor’s degree or higher

NICE TO HAVE

- 2+ years’ experience as a recruiter or sourcer in creative or tech industries

- Experience with small, fast-paced, growing companies

- Experience with organizational transformation/evolution

- Experience working in the video game industry or a related entertainment or media industry

- Outside interests!
