Human Resources Intern

Demiurge Studios is a privately-held video game developer based in Cambridge, MA. Creating games is our passion and we bring years of expertise to our projects. The teams at Demiurge build fun, accessible games like our hit, Marvel Puzzle Quest. We also provide co-development services to larger, best-in-industry game companies. In that capacity, Demiurge has contributed to titles such as Bioshock, Rock Band, and Mass Effect.
As the Human Resources Intern at Demiurge, you will support our talent acquisition efforts. In this role you will learn about the various roles required to develop a successful game. You will work closely with candidates and hiring managers to continue growing our exceptional team. Side bonus of involvement in user testing of games in development!
The intern is expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week. Position will be compensated on an hourly basis. Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restriction.
Responsibilities:
- Post openings on a variety of job boards
- Further develop our talent acquisition strategies to attract diverse candidates
- Screen job applications
- Assist with sourcing on various job boards and within the ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
- Schedule interviews/meetings with multiple team members, keeping time zones in mind
- Ad-hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
- Ability to pick up new tools (Slack, Google Workspace)
- Excellent learning aptitude
- Great communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to get things done, even with a bit of chaos
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Comfortable handling confidential information
- Curiosity about people and systems
Nice To Have Experience:
- Use of Lever or other ATS
- Boolean Sourcing
- Prior Recruiting/Sourcing/Scheduling experience
