We’re looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join a growing team of professionals shaping the future of HR at PLAYSTUDIOS. This is not an entry-level role; demonstrated HR experience is required. The HR Business Partner will work closely with a variety of senior HR professionals on short- and long-term projects. This supporting role provides an emerging HR professional with unlimited potential for career development by learning how to drive business value, provide a best-in-class employee experience and effectively deliver HR programs, services, and support in key areas.
What you’ll be doing
- HR Evolution: Support the ongoing transformation of HR processes through collaborative interactions with the Chief People Performance Officer, Director of HR and all HR teammates to execute day-to-day transactions and drive continuous improvement.
- Policies & Practices: Ensure adherence to company policies and external regulations. Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
- Recruiting: Assist the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist in posting/managing open positions, scheduling interviews, handling last-minute scheduling changes, screening resumes and conducting phone screens.
- Onboarding: Support our new playMAKER onboarding and orientation, ensuring delightful “first” experiences for all playMAKERS so they feel supported and welcomed, and identify opportunities to improve and elevate the playMAKER experience. May facilitate parts of new playMAKER orientation.
- Benefits: Learn and understand our benefit plans to effectively respond to playMAKER questions, help resolve issues, reconcile monthly invoices and assist with the annual enrollment process.
- Learning & Development: Coordinate with the Senior Training Development Specialist to identify training requirements, and support and conduct training activities as needed. May facilitate delivery of training.
- Engagement and Retention: Build relationships and serve as a trusted resource to managers and playMAKERs, while nurturing a positive work environment. Identify issues affecting playMAKER engagement and retention and recommend opportunities for impact by surfacing drivers of engagement.
- Leave Management: Monitor the status of playMAKERs on a leave of absence and facilitate their return to work.
- Payroll: Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely and accurate pay and benefits processes, including providing payroll and other data changes.
- Records Management: Keep all files current, updated, and prepared for any external or internal audit. Prepare, recommend, and maintain procedures for filing, reporting, and retrieving employment records.
- Reporting & Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided. Use data to articulate the HR story.
- HR Tools and Systems: Become proficient in our people tech stack including HRIS, engagement, performance management and employee giving systems. Be a systems resource for playMAKERs of all levels.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Support company’s diversity initiatives, maintain EEO records and participate in annual reporting requirements.
- Employee Giving: Work with Senior HR Business Partner to discover, communicate and promote employee giving and volunteering opportunities.
- Separation: Support and facilitate offboarding experiences for all playMAKERS.
- Special Projects: Conduct research and analyze data on assigned projects.
What you need for consideration
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience with a range of responsibilities managing daily HR functions.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain goodwill with employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-starter with a demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize a variety of tasks, and think on your feet to meet needs and deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable giving, receiving, and sharing feedback
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn Paylocity HRIS and other talent and performance management systems.
- Inclination to learn and grow professionally

- Knowledge of labor laws in California, Nevada and Texas
