This role is hybrid based in North Carolina office. This is not a remote opportunity. However, we do offer flexible hours.
Summary
- The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day operations. This position is responsible for coordinating various HR activities including onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. The HR Coordinator ensures the smooth execution of HR processes and serves as a point of contact for employees' HR-related inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage onboarding materials and conduct new employee orientations
- Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS (Human Resource Information System)
- Prepare and process HR documentation, including employment contracts, benefits enrollment, and performance reviews
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and compliance
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts, escalating complex matters to senior HR staff as needed
- Coordinate employee training and development programs
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and up-to-date with relevant regulations and laws
- Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Support HR initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining HR files, and managing office supplies
- Prepare and distribute internal communications and announcements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in HR or administrative roles; experience with HRIS, LMS, or recruitment is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and HR software
- Attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus but not required
