Job Description
The Senior Manager of Employee Relations and Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws relating to employee relations and managing such activities according to established guidelines and sound administrative practices. In this role you will manage the Employee Relations processes, including separations, severance/ and unemployment. The role reports to the Director or HRBPs and HR Operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for partnering with the HR Leadership Team and the Legal Team to make decisions based on fact-finding, data analytics, and results.
- Drive and enhance current employee relations processes and procedures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of managing cases.
- Help solve business and team member problems and ensure accountability to both results and behaviors.
- Effectively communicate a shared vision of Employee Relations in alignment with company direction
- Collaborate with decision makers and HR business partners on critical elements of compliance and investigations outcomes
- Manage Employee Handbook updates and lead the implementation of new policy as required.This includes the creating and editing of documents.
- Administer global employee relations program which addresses consistent application of human resources policies, including progressive discipline and termination issues.
- Stay current (personally and through development of your team) with HR trends, employment law and diversity and inclusion landscapes
- Work directly with internal and external partners to ensure a respectful workplace
Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of key HR systems, concepts and practices (employment law, compliance, engagement, retention, performance, compensation, recruiting) including current global trends.
- 7-10+ years of experience leading cross-functional regional and global projects of significant scope, complexity, and of a highly sensitive nature.
- Due to the nature of the work within the organization, very short notice domestic and international travel may be required.
- With international activities, conference calls in the early morning or late evenings are a normal course of business. Flexibility on both your part and the company’s is expected.
- Many activities within your organization are highly sensitive in nature and will require discretion.
