Head of WoT Core Content

Job Overview

We are looking for a Head of WoT Core Content who will be managing teams of Video Content and Web Content and will act as the main point of contact for a WoT PC content channels and activities. The successful candidate will be developing and managing the strategy of content delivery.

Reports to

The Head of WoT Core Content will report to the Publishing Director WoT Current.

What will you do?

• Manage teams of Video Content and Web Content
• Develop and manage the strategy of content delivery
• Manage the World of Tanks Content Teams
• Provide guidance and direction to the WoT PC Content team to ensure the quality, brand consistency, tone of voice, and relevancy of the publications.
• Ensure that the Content Team implements the best strategies and practices to effectively and positively communicate with the audience of the product on the WoT content channels.
• Maintain an overview of the product operations in the regions and adopt content management activities accordingly to ensure the best possible promotion of product beats.
• Actively communicate within the content team, as well as with other global and regional teams making sure that content activities are synced with other publishing efforts.
• Ensure that the Content Team creates and maintains an editorial calendar providing visibility on the portal and other news platforms to other publishing teams and management.
• Make sure that the performance of the content platforms and the content team is regularly reported, reports are provided to the management team, and the conclusions of the reports are used to improve future operations of the content team.
• Make sure that the content team uses the best available workflows, practices, and tools.
• Manage the relationship with localization services to ensure the WoT PC Content Team is always supported and there is minimal disruption to localized content distribution through our channels.
• Oversee the Content Team budget and spending, including the gatekeeping of asset creation through both internal and external sources.
• Responsible for arranging suitable training that will further the skills of the Content Team.
• All other duties that may be assigned by the Company and that would be included in the scope of the Employee’s qualifications.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Creative Writing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the video games industry with a focus on content creation.
• Proven experience leading sizable teams, preferably in a cross-cultural and multi-location setting.
• Strong understanding of game mechanics, player behavior, and current industry trends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in content creation tools and software relevant to the video games industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate large teams.
• Flexibility to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to travel to different offices, as required.
• Proven track record of successfully launched games or content.
• Solid problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
