ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Head of Talent at Mythical Games will own all of recruiting at the company stepping in as the first recruiting hire and reporting directly to the COO. You’ll be responsible for growing teams across departments with a strong focus initially on technical roles (so technical recruiting experience is a MUST). This is a player/leader role that requires you to be both an individual contributor, actively sourcing and hiring across the board, and eventually growing out a possible recruiting team as mandated by the hiring demands.
Mythical is looking for someone autonomous and inspiring, a true go-getter who wants to lead and own recruiting at a growing startup. You’ll work with hiring managers to implement the right recruiting processes, coordinating interviews and - most importantly - bringing top talent into the company. As the company grows you’ll look back and say “I brought all these people in. I built this company.”
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Own all of recruiting, from sourcing to process implementation, for Mythical Games in a hands on-recruiter and talent leader role
- Work initially on technical roles with an ability to be versatile and expand into non-technical rolesl as a hands on sourcer and recruiter
- Create a powerful sourcing strategy that continually brings in high caliber passive talent into the company
- Own the candidate experience by engaging, contacting, and managing candidates throughout the recruitment process, whether they are passive, inbound or referrals
- Work alongside hiring managers to develop hiring plans for each role, which includes writing compelling job descriptions, interview guidelines, along with tailored and personalized messaging
- Own the company’s Applicant Tracking System and continually propose new systems and tools that improve the recruiting process
- Identify when to resource and grow the recruiting team, which includes managing third party agencies and eventually building out a potential internal team
- Actively iterate with internal stakeholders to continually improve recruitment and hiring processes
WHO YOU ARE:
- 4+ years of recruiting, with at least 3 years in technical recruiting
- Effective track record of sourcing candidates against critical hiring demands and delivering results
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
- Implementation experience with Greenhouse, Lever or other similar ATS like Google Hire exposure is a plus
- Proven track-record owning full-cycle recruiting
- Experience working with and guiding Hiring Managers
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and the recruiting team.
- Entrepreneurial at heart and excited about ownership and autonomy
- Previous startup experience is a plus
